This very young company wants to find a place alongside the global giants of online sales, such as Amazon. “We only listed products that are made in France on the platform”, explains Judith Lacroix, the founder of maboutiquefrancaise.com. Around 300 French brands are already on the site. The products are uploaded for free, and the platform takes a commission on sales: “we present the brands, their catalog […] but the brands are the ones who ship the products. “ The concept has attracted nearly 300 customers in one month, for a turnover of 30,000 euros.

Why are brands answering the call? Dominique Simon, manufacturer of sofas, had never wanted to sell his products on the Internet until now. “It’s a lot of work, a lot of manual operations, our product types are positioned on a higher range and they have no place on sites like Amazon.”, explains the general manager of Canapés Moulin. Christine Simon, founder of Cosmetics Indemne, has also chosen to partner with a platform that only sells organic or ethical products. She hopes to attract new customers.
