A cat disappeared in 2012 in Pas-de-Calais, found 8 years later in Finistère … before fleeing again

A cat that disappeared in 2012 in Pas-de-Calais was found 8 years later in Finistère, at the end of October France Bleu Breizh Izel and France Bleu Nord learned. Unfortunately, the animal escaped again shortly after this extraordinary reunion.

The feline named Def was formally identified on October 29 by his tattoo at the veterinary clinic in Pleyber-Christ, in Finistère. His mistress had lost him in 2012 after a move. “I adopted him at the SPA at the age of 6 months, says Stéphanie. He used to leave to go back to our old house and he would come back, except that one day he didn’t come back. “

While she thought her cat was dead or adopted by another family, the Pas-de-Calais resident received photos of the animal, now 12 years old today. He was unrecognizable: “I didn’t recognize him, he’s not red like he used to be, and he looks a bit damaged”, says Stéphanie.

Unfortunately, the joy of Def’s mistress was short-lived. She had to pick up her animal on Friday November 6 thanks to an Internet user who had agreed to make the trip to her home. But on Tuesday, the cat fled from the mobile home which was bringing him home in Pas-de-Calais. The feline is therefore again declared missing in Charente-Maritime. Stéphanie wants to use social networks to try, once again, to find Def.
