For its launch they had done things in style by staging a mega event in Prague. Then the uncertainties related to the coronavirus pandemic have once again upset everyone’s plans and so Skoda was also forced to take a step back by streaming its latest SUV, the ENYAQ iV.

EnyaQ iV, the first Skoda electric suv
Be that as it may be ENYAQ iV the first Sport Utility fully electric of the Czech brand developed on the MEB platform of the VW Group. The car will be available in both rear and all-wheel drive and will have a declared range of up to 510 km. To underline the importance of this car, 1895 units in limited series will be available at launch, the Founders Edition, particularly equipped, to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the company founded precisely in 1895 by Vclav Laurin and Vclav Klement.
The ENYAQ iV has a particularly focused design towards the future with a front illuminated by 130 LED lights and inspired by the shapes of the Skoda VISION iV concept of a few years ago. Among the features of this zero-emission SUV, the modularity of the battery pack built into the floor stands out to save space. They are of three different sizes with powers ranging from 109 to 225 kW. Completely new also the interiors with a cockpit, ensure, spacious and declined to satisfy every need thanks to multiple combinations of colors and fittings. Ten thematic packages will be available and some individual options to customize the car according to the owner’s taste.
In the center of the dashboard, the inevitable screen central 13-inch (the largest in current Skoda production) with a latest generation infotainment system. 4 meters long and 65 cm long, ENYAQ iV will be available in five different versions with powers ranging between 109 and 225 kW and with maximum speeds between 160 and 180 km / h. Ranges from 340 to 510 km. The offer does not even lack the possibility of fast charging which, in the case of the 82 kWh battery, can be restored up to 80% of its capacity in just 38 minutes. With domestic power, a full charge normally takes a full night using a wall box up to 11 kW. However, in the equipment there is a universal charger suitable for all conventional charging sockets.
Safety is also taken care of thanks to various systems driving assistance: in the offer, standard or for a fee, there are many devices, the main ones being the collision risk warning or the fact that you can count up to nine air bags. The augmented reality head-up display and in addition to speed and road signs, also projects information from assistance systems (such as adaptive cruise control) or navigator instructions. Also included is the Park Assist parking aid which allows maneuvers without the driver’s intervention. The trunk has a capacity of 585 liters.
The entrance version has steel wheels 18-inch, the others have alloy wheels up to 21 inches in diameter. For the rest, standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control, multifunction leather steering wheel, keyless start, DAB digital radio, LED headlights and a fast charging capacity of up to 50 kW. In our country, the first deliveries of the new Skoda ENYAQ iV are expected from next spring with prices, not yet official, ranging from 35,000 to 46,000 euros.
