Public health France evokes the fear of a progression “exponential” of the Covid-19 epidemic in France. The other areas concerned are Gironde, Hérault, Loiret, Rhône, Sarthe and, Outremer, Guyana, Martinique and Guadeloupe. 36 other departments are in a situation of “moderate vulnerability”.
Health authorities have also recorded 5,453 additional confirmed cases of contamination in 24 hours.
Possible new restrictions in the UK this winter. British Minister of Health Matt Hancock has said he will not rule out introducing new restrictions in England in the event of a second wave of the new coronavirus this winter. “If the cases increase again, we will have to resort to very extensive local lockdowns or take additional measures nationally. We are not ruling it out, although we do not want to see that.”, he explained in the daily The Times.

Some 1,500 new cases of contamination in Germany. The number of confirmed cases of contamination with the new coronavirus in Germany rose by 1,479 to 240,986, according to data provided on Saturday by the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases. This daily report has evolved around 1,500 new cases since Wednesday in Germany.
Canada keeps its borders closed until September 30. The Canadian government announced it on Friday. However, some Americans are allowed to cross the country’s borders. As of March, travelers arriving in Canada, whether Canadian or not, have been subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine. Foreign nationals who show symptoms of Covid-19 are barred from entering Canada.
