No mask, no social distancing, it is assumed, and claimed. In Berlin, these demonstrators say no to barrier gestures: “We want to return to democracy, far from these laws which have been imposed on us and these masks which make us slaves”, argues a protester. An anti-mask movement is gaining momentum all over the world, such as in the United States or Canada. For some it is an ideological struggle, which sometimes turns into confrontation.

In France, some dispute the obligation to wear it in public places. In Alsace, these entrepreneurs do not believe in the government’s arguments or in a second wave: “The mask is also a virus. It is the virus of fear”, defends a woman. “Does wearing the mask really stop the virus from passing? I don’t think so”, defends another.
