Once upon a time there was Seat el-Born, a prototype five-door electric car of compact size, closely related to the Volkswagen ID.3 and unveiled in 2019. Now, somewhat surprisingly, the Spanish company has decided not to propose this model with its own brand, but with that of its sports division. From here Cupra el-Born which will arrive on the market in 2021 and will be produced in Zwickau, where the aforementioned ID.3 and the crossover ID.4 are born.The bodywork of the el-Born differs from that of the homonymous Seat for a whole series details in Cupra style see the contrasting elements, black and gold, and the particular surface finishes. The engine will be powered by 82 kWh batteries, capable of guaranteeing up to 500 km of autonomy and housed under the internal floor, so as to lower the center of gravity and improve behavior on the road. The Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (DCC Sport) adjustable suspension also contributes to this goal, with specific settings for the Cupra.
