25 years have passed since McLaren won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. On the de la Sarthe circuit to sign the success of the Woking factory there was an F1 GTR, derived from the homonymous hypercar produced by the English company. Other times, when electrification was not yet a protagonist. Today, exactly 25 years later, McLaren offers the public of fans a special limited edition edition of the 720S, one of the most recent British super sports. A version that takes the name of 720S Le Mans, equipped with an exclusive equipment, but reserved for an elite of the lucky ones. Of the 50 specimens that will be produced, only 16 will be destined for the European market.

A 720S Le Mans full of history, which pays homage to the victory by the pilots JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya. A model that stands out from the rest of the 720S range starting from the available colors. Only two shades of color are those in the catalog: McLaren Orange or Sarthe Gray with contrasting or complementary interior colors in orange and gray. The alloy wheels are also a specification of this model: they are 5-spoke and have the “LM” engraving. On board are the racing seats in carbon fiber to amplify the racing experience of the 720S Le Mans. But the real gem to lose your mind if you are a lover of the brand and particular details, is the fact that the VIN (the chassis number) of each vehicle will start with 298 in memory of the number of laps completed by the F1 GTR that won the French 24 Hours. Beyond these singularities, which shape this 720S as a special version, everything else is carried out according to the usual technical specifications.
Being a model of the Super Series family, which recently saw the entrance of the 765LT, is equipped with a 720 horsepower bi-turbo V8. Just enough to go from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds, from 0-200 km / h in 7.8 seconds and to reach 341 km / h top speed. All seasoned by the presence of the carbon cell of the passenger compartment and by a whole series of aerodynamic details and the set-up that can be further refined by drawing from the list of McLaren accessories. As for the price lists, the new 720S Le Mans will be marketed at a base price for the Italian market of 305,642 euros.
