Is the European continent at the dawn of the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic? This is even already the case, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Thursday, June 25, the UN body based in Switzerland gave the alert about the resumption of the pandemic in 30 countries managed by its European branch. The Covid-19 is again active in Germany, Sweden, Portugal and even Spain.
“In eleven of these countries, the acceleration of transmissions is causing a very significant resurgence. If nothing is done, it will once again push healthcare systems to the brink in Europe”, explains the director of the European branch, Hans Kluge. In some countries, such as Germany and Portugal, governments have taken steps to contain their populations.
