It’s a unprecedented economic recovery project in the European Union. 750 billion euros could be made available to member countries to revive economies hit hard by the coronavirus crisis. “It is above all a political message, an act of confidence in the political project of the euro”, analyzes journalist Pascal Verdeau in duplex from Brussels (Belgium).
If France or even Germany have declared themselves in favor of this recovery plan, other members of the European Union such as the Netherlands or Denmark are not yet convinced by this strategy. “For the Dutch, the bill could amount to almost 25 billion euros. It will take several more weeks and at least one, two, or even three European summits before concluding ”, announces Pascal Verdeau.
