Worldwide, approximately 4.5 billion people are currently confined to limit the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus. The crisis management sequences are no longer identical from one country to another, such as in the United States. The bar of 30,000 victims has been crossed. Donald Trump continues to speak of a rapid economic recovery, however. “For the president, this is a dilemma. On the one hand, there are the 35,000 dead of the Covid-19, and on the other, the 22 million unemployed from the economic crisis”, explains the journalist Agnès Vahramian from Washington (United States).
On the German side, the Minister of Health has made a strong declaration. He judges “manageable and controllable” the epidemic on German territory. From Berlin (Germany), journalist Laurent Desbonnet takes stock. “Regarding the words of her minister, Angela Merkel talks about a fragile success, but we can feel here a change of atmosphere”, he says. “The deconfinement will begin, the merchants are preparing their stores, because all the businesses of less than 800 m2 will be able to reopen as of next week.”
