Amazon put on notice by the labor inspectorate which requires the giant American improves the safety of its employees during the Covid-19 period at four sites in France. Muriel Penicaud, the Minister of Labor, talk louder. “It is unacceptable. We gave them a maximum of three days to comply. Protecting your employees is not negotiable.“

Employees say they work in fear. In a video dated March 20 latest, we see dozens of people moving around in an enclosed space without respecting the safety instructions. The unions are asking for a reduction in the workforce. “There must be fewer employees. If there are fewer employees, there will be less movement and less possible contamination“, specifies Olivier Guivarch, general secretary, federation services at CFDT. The labor inspection report is final and denounces a dangerous situation for the Brétigny-sur-Orge site (Try).
