The aesthetics of the special series are inspired to the 1960 R360, the first production car from the Hiroshima car manufacturer. The car was distinguished from all the other “small” cars of the time by the four-stroke V-cylinder engine combined with the automatic transmission. The lightness of the car was also a surprising feature at the time. The car, compact and bright, had an immediate success.

To characterize the Mazda 100th Anniversary today are the pearly white Snowflake paint, the “100 Years 1920-2020” logo in the front fascia and the “100th Anniversary” logo in the wheel hubcap. Inside there are red leather seats, red rugs and the specific logo in the headrests. The emblem on the front and rear of the bodywork is new: it is inspired by that of Toyo Cork, the name of the company before it changed to Mazda in 1984.
